Jayleen is a local and loves what she does, I first heard about her and the tour company she runs from a friend at a different whale watching company giving her rave reviews. My family came up to visit and we went on a private tour with captain Luke. Not only did Luke shuttle us from the hotel, but also took us on an amazing tour. He was also among time local and kind, safe man. He recommended to me to join the apprentice program in spring to learn more boat handling after recently getting my captain license. Both Jayleen and Luke work with the community for safe practices for both the whales and guests/community. Truly a knowledgeable and trustworthy captain. To top it off he even pulled a U on the way back to the hotel to let my family take pictures of some black bears in a field. The best and most personable whale watching tour in Alaska. I hope they never change a thing! Their tours and fleet as is represents balance for participating in the tourism economy but also protecting and advocating for wildlife.
